Dr. Gaddameedhi Featured in NIEHS Stories of Success
With funding from the NIEHS ONES Program, Shobhan Gaddameedhi, Ph.D., is exploring how our circadian clock helps protect against genomic instability and environmental carcinogenesis. Gaddameedhi grew up in a rural farming village in India and now leads a research team at NCSU!

Best Poster Presentation
PhD Candidate Sean Cone was the recipient of the Best Overall DNA Repair SECI (Student and Early Career Investigator) Award for the best poster presentation in the DNA repair category at the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society in Palm Springs, CA. Congratulations, Sean!

Selected Presenter: DNA Repair
PhD Candidate Sean Cone was selected as an oral presenter for the DNA Repair SIG (Special Interest Group) Meeting at EMGS (Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society) at their annual meeting in Palm Springs, CA. Out of all the DNA Repair poster abstracts submitted to EMGS, four presenters were chosen to present their research in a 10-minute talk during the DNA Repair SIG, followed by a 10 minute Q&A session. Great Job, Sean!

NHGRI Travel Scholarship
PhD Candidate Rachel Bernstein was selected for the CREiGS NHGRI (National Human Genome Research Institute) Travel Scholarship to attend the Computational Analysis of GWAS data and workshop at CREiGS (Clinical Research Education in Genome Science, New York, NY). Congratulations, Rachel!
