Priya Arumugam



Priya Arumugam is originally from South India. She received her master’s degree in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, India and her doctorate from Alagappa University, India. In her Ph.D., she identified a few bioactive molecules and their mechanism of action against oral biofilm-forming pathogens. Learning and developing new skills always excites her. During her post-doctoral fellowship, she hopes to understand circadian biology and its impact on human ailments. Her current research interests revolve around exploring the impact of circadian rhythm disruption on UV induced DNA damage in skin carcinogenesis and cardiovascular toxicity. Priya likes spending time with her family and loves exploring music, nature, and photography.
