Adam is originally from Tennessee and began pursuing his PhD in Dr. Gaddameedhi’s lab in 2020. Before moving to Raleigh, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Genetics at the University of Georgia, Athens. His current research interests include human genetics, circadian rhythms, UV photobiology, and transcriptomics. He has spent time in both healthcare and research roles and looks forward to combining these experiences toward a greater understanding of human disease. Apart from research, Adam likes to stay active and frequently engages in hiking, rock climbing, and golf. He also is an avid reader and currently works his way through a 45-year backlog of Star Wars novels. Adam has had an interest in genetics ever since the advent of personalized genomic sequencing and eagerly anticipates the endless possibilities of forthcoming research.
